420 contortionists perform record-setting show
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Unique event, which assembled 420 Mongolian contortionists together to perform a show, happened at the central square of Ulaanbaatar named after Chinggis Khaan, on August 6. The audience witnessed the performance that set a new Guinness World Record with the largest number of contortionists at one place.
The contortion ensemble named “Legend of Mountains and Waters” brought together artists from all over the country – from Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan, Khutul, Khanbogd, Dundgovi and Dornogovi.
The event was organized by Otgoo Studio under the National Circus of Mongolia, X-Roses contortion studio, Center of Acrobats under KhanBank, “Shonkhoodoi Circus of Darkhan city, “Erdenes” and “Uvidas” club of Erdenet city, “Sondor” from Dundgovi and “Dornyn Uyanga” from Dornogovi.
The performance lasted for hour and a half, showcasing the dances of Mothers Tara and Queen Alungoo. Artists of Ulaanbaatar Ensemble played the background music to the show.
